Water Supply Contracts
Firm water use
Contract for municipal, industrial, landscape irrigation, and temporary water use.
Domestic water use
Pump water directly from the Highland Lakes.
Agricultural irrigation use
Contract for irrigation water in four service areas.
LCRA sells water for many uses: municipal, irrigation, industrial, agricultural, recreational, domestic use and other beneficial uses authorized by law.
Water supplies managed by LCRA are divided into firm and interruptible water and require a contract with LCRA for use. Firm water is available even during a severe drought. During droughts, the supply of interruptible water, which is mostly used for agriculture, can be curtailed or cut off.
