Open records information

Welcome to the LCRA Open Records Request Portal

Texas law gives the public the right to access records of governmental agencies, including those of LCRA. Requests for records must be made in writing, and it may take up to 10 business days to receive a response to an open records request. The Texas Public Information Act does not require a governmental body to create new information, perform legal research or answer questions.​

LCRA adopted a new system for submitting public information requests in April 2024. Requests can now be submitted through our Open Records Portal.

LCRA will communicate with you regarding your request through the portal, and all documents will be released to you through the portal.
