The Forecast for Central Texas, Oct. 6th-Oct. 10th: Increasing moisture ahead of a trough of low pressure over northwestern Texas will cause a few showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon into tonight. Rain amounts will be low, generally between 0.25 to 0.5 inches. The chance for rain will end Tuesday morning when a Pacific cold front sweeps across the region. Sunny, dry and a little cooler weather will follow Tuesday afternoon through Friday. Clouds will increase and the sky will become mostly cloudy Saturday through Sunday as another large trough of low pressure takes shape over the Desert Southwest. A few isolated showers will be possible over the weekend. Cooler air looks to arrive early next week.
