Things to know:

  • LCRA honors burn bans issued by individual counties where its parks are located. So when in doubt, check the Texas Interagency Coordination Center's Web site at www.tamu.edu/ticc for a link to the latest map showing Texas counties that have issued burn bans.
  • The ground fires are banned because continuing dry conditions could lead to wildfires.
  • Under a burn ban, park visitors cannot use charcoal, wood or other solid fuels for ground fires, even in fire rings.
  • Park visitors may continue to use barbecue grills and gas fired cooking stoves if they are kept off the ground.
  • The possession and discharge of fireworks is always prohibited on LCRA lands and waters.
