Earth Share of Texas - This is a coalition of 70 local, state, national and international nonprofit environmental groups that have joined to participate in workplace giving programs.
CRA Employees’ United Charities is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) charitable organization whose mission is to provide financial support to nonprofit organizations within LCRA’s service area.LCRA employees voluntarily donate up to two hours of their pay to United Charities per month. United Charities contributes more than $492,000 annually, supporting a variety of nonprofit organizations throughout LCRA’s service area.
LCRA Employees' United Charities contributes to local nonprofit organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and within LCRA's service area.
Requests for donations are reviewed by employee committees with careful consideration given to each request. The donations average $500 to $2,500 per nonprofit. Organizations are eligible for one donation per year.
How to apply to United Charities
To apply, print the LCRA Employees' United Charities Grant Application and return it to the address listed or complete on-line. Please provide the information as outlined in the giving guidelines on page two of the application. All questions should be answered and supporting documentation included when submitting an application. If possible, each application should list three levels of need to allow the reviewing committee to fund a smaller amount if funds are not available to meet the initial or larger request.
Earth Share of Texas
Payroll contribution campaigns offer a cost-effective means for specific nonprofit organizations to generate support for their program work. Only those organizations that already belong to Earth Share of Texas benefit from the employee contributions.
