Business Opportunities with LCRA

LCRA buys a variety of goods and services from a large and diverse group of suppliers. During fiscal year 2012, LCRA spent about $439 million for a variety of items, from janitorial services and engineering services to bucket trucks for transmission line repair and power plant construction.

LCRA recognizes the importance of diverse business enterprises, including minority- and women-owned, service disabled veteran-owned, or HUBZone businesses in the communities it serves. That's why LCRA continues to expand its relationships with these companies. During FY12, LCRA spent approximately $38 million with diverse businesses.

Conflicts of Interest

Please note that Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code requires that a person who enters, or seeks to enter, into a contract with a local governmental entity in Texas must file a conflict of interest questionnaire (Form CIQ) if: 

  1. the person has an employment or other business relationship with an officer of the governmental entity, or a family member of the officer,
    or 
  2. the person has made certain gifts to an officer, or a family member of the officer.
